I first got to know Initiatives of Change some 18 years ago at a taxi-drivers’ meeting in Petropolis, Brazil. As I got involved in different activities my ideas about the world in which I live changed and my understanding about relationships between people across the globe matured.

O programa da última noite das Conferências Internacionais de Caux 2011 foi o marco do 50º aniversário da morte de Frank Buchman, o fundador de Iniciativas de Mudança. Buchman morreu em Freudenstadt, em Black Forest, Alemanha, em 1961. Um serviço religioso na capela protestante de Caux, na parte da manhã, também marcou este aniversário. O evento ocorreu no último dia da conferência “Confiança e Integridade na Economia Global” no centro de Iniciativas de Mudança em Caux, Suíça.

El programa de la última noche de las Conferencias Internacionales de Caux 2011 marcó el 50 aniversario de la muerte de Frank Buchman, el fundador de Iniciativas de Cambio. Buchman murió en Freudenstadt, en Black Forest, en Alemania, en 1961. Por la mañana un servicio religioso en la capilla protestante en Caux también marcó este aniversario. El aniversario de Buchman se celebró durante todo el último día de la conferencia "Confianza e Integridad en la Economía Global", en el centro de Iniciativas de Cambio en Caux, Suiza.

The final evening programme of the International Caux Conferences 2011 marked the 50th anniversary of the death of Frank Buchman, the founder of Initiatives of Change. Buchman died in Freudenstadt, in the Black Forest, in Germany, in 1961. A church service in the Protestant chapel in Caux in the morning also marked this anniversary. The Buchman anniversary was on the last full day of the ‘Trust and Integrity in the Global Economy’ conference in the Initiatives of Change centre in Caux, Switzerland.
