The last public event of the International Caux Conferences 2009 took place last night. This special event with the South African Ginn Fourie was part of the “Tools for Change” conference that started on Sunday and will end on Saturday 15 August.

The conference centre is full to bursting for this last conference of the summer season.

The conference "Trust and Integrity in the Global Economy" with 160 participants from 38 countries in the conference centre of Initiatives of Change in Caux came to an end today.

A senior executive of a leading Indian corporation today told how his company is ‘going green’ to meet environmental and climate change challenges. Rajeev Dubey, member of the Group Management Board of the Mahindra & Mahindra automotive and tractor company, also told how the group is committed to the education of disadvantaged children, particularly girls, as part of its social commitment.

‘There is enough in the world for everyone’s needs, but not for everyone’s greed’ - Mahatma Gandhi. These words were echoed by Mohan Bhagwandas, the conference coordinator of the ‘Trust and Integrity in the Global Economy’ (24-29 July) at the Initiatives of Change Center in Caux. Having opened yesterday, the conference brings together 160 people from many walks of life to explore pathways to a sustainable world.

The Second Caux Forum for Human Security, which was opened last Friday by his Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at the Initiatives of Change conference centre above Montreux, closed today.

1st edition of 'Leading Change For a Sustainable World': a conference packed with innovation to learn how to go from theory to concrete action, to convert ideas into projects which contribute practically to changing the world in a sustainable way!

His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan tonight gave the opening address of the Second Caux Forum for Human Security at the Initiatives of Change conference centre above Montreux. A podcast is available as well as the pdf of the speech.

The conference ‘Learning to live in a Multicultural World’ (9th-15th July) that brought together experts and practitioners in the field of intercultural dialogue and people who are interested in this field, ended yesterday at the Initiatives of Change centre in Caux.

At today’s ‘Official Day’ marking the start of the conference season in the Initiatives of Change Caux centre, Ndioro Ndiaye, the Deputy Director General of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and Christine Beerli, permanent Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) took part in a round table on migration moderated by Manuela Salvi of the Radio Suisse Romande.
